Kevin Easley, Jr.

Kevin A. Easley, Jr. serves as the elected Tribal Councilor for District 14 of the Cherokee Nation, representing the communities of Claremore and Chelsea. He currently serves as Deputy Speaker of the Tribal Council and Co‑Chair of the Rules Committee, where he plays a key role in council governance, legislative procedure, and oversight of rules and policy.

Councilor Easley sponsors and supports legislation focused on health care, education, and long‑term community investment. His work includes support for a new Cherokee Nation Health Services campus in Claremore and expanded STEM opportunities at Rogers State University, as well as initiatives to modernize and improve public access to the Cherokee Nation Code.

Councilor Easley is Co‑Founder and Partner of Easley & Easley, PLLC in Claremore, where his law practice includes complex civil litigation, personal injury, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, civil rights, criminal defense, and tribal law in state, federal, and tribal courts. He previously practiced with Higgins & Easley, P.C. in Claremore and Norman Wohlgemuth Chandler Jeter Barnett & Ray in Tulsa and has served as municipal judge for the cities of Chelsea and Foyil.

Easley earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, with distinction, from the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business. He is admitted to practice in the State of Oklahoma, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and multiple tribal courts. In 2022, he was recognized as one of Oklahoma’s Rising Star attorneys.  Additional recognition includes Oklahoma NextGen Under 30 and Rogers County 40 Under 40.  However, his greatest honor in life is being a husband and father to his beautiful wife Tiffani and their son, Tripp.  The Easley’s reside outside of Chelsea, OK.
